Using RetouchMe on multiple devices

Explains what transfers between devices, what stays on the device, and how to set up RetouchMe on a new phone or after switching between iOS and Android.

Short answer

You can use RetouchMe on multiple devices with the same account. Some things follow your account (when you sign in with the same email), some things stay on the device, and some things follow your store account (Apple ID or Google).

Quick summary of what's tied to what:

  • Account (your email login): orders, settings, profile data

  • Device: one-time credits (until you transfer them)

  • Store account (Apple ID / Google): subscription

What follows your login

When you sign in with the same email on multiple devices, the following sync to the device after login:

  • Order history (orders created while signed in)

  • Settings

  • Profile data

You can be signed in on more than one device at the same time. Each device shows the same account data.

What stays on the device

One-time credits are tied to the device, not to your account.

  • Credits purchased on a specific device stay on that device by default.

  • To use them on another device, transfer them via Settings → Connected devices → Transfer credits (the source and target devices must be signed in with the same email).

  • Already-used credits cannot be transferred.

See How to Restore Purchases for the full transfer flow.

What follows your store account

Subscription is tied to your Apple ID (iPhone / iPad) or Google account (Android), not to your in-app email login.

  • On the same store account, subscription is restored via Settings → Restore Purchases.

  • On a different store account, the subscription does not appear — sign into the correct Apple ID / Google account first.

Switching between iOS and Android

Sign-in with the same email works on both — it's the same RetouchMe account.

However:

  • Subscription does NOT transfer between iOS and Android. Apple App Store and Google Play are separate billing systems. If you bought a subscription on iOS, it stays on iOS; to use a subscription on Android, you would need to subscribe again on Google Play (and cancel the iOS one to avoid double billing).

  • One-time credits CAN be transferred cross-platform via Settings → Connected devices → Transfer credits (sign into both devices with the same email).

  • Orders sync once you sign in with the same email on the new platform.

Reinstalling the app on the same device

If you delete and reinstall the app on the same device:

  • Sign in again with the same email — orders, settings, and profile data are restored from your account.

  • Tap Settings → Restore Purchases — your subscription is restored from your Apple ID / Google account.

  • One-time credits were preserved if you were signed in before the reinstall and credits were tied to that login. If you were using the app anonymously (without login), one-time credits stay only on the device and may be lost on reinstall.

Setting up the app on a new device — step by step

  1. Install RetouchMe on the new device.

  2. Sign in with the same email you use on your other devices. This brings over your orders, settings, and profile data.

  3. Tap Settings → Restore Purchases to restore your subscription. (Make sure the new device is using the same Apple ID / Google account if you want the subscription to come with you.)

  4. If you have one-time credits on another device, open Settings → Connected devices → Transfer credits to move them.

Anonymous use (no login)

If you use the app without signing in:

  • One-time credits you purchase are stored only on that device.

  • You cannot transfer them to other devices until you sign in.

  • Orders are not synced across devices.

  • To preserve credits and orders across devices, sign in before purchasing or creating orders.
