Explains why a negative credit balance may appear, including order adjustments and refunds, and how to restore your balance.

Updated this week

Short answer

A negative credit balance in RetouchMe means that more credits were required than were available at the time. This can happen due to order adjustments, additional work, or a refund issued after credits were already used.

Why a negative credit balance can appear

A negative credit balance may occur in the following situations:

• An order was revised and required additional services

• Extra work was needed based on your feedback or revision request

• Some services were added during order processing

• Credits were deducted after the order was already in progress

• A refund was issued for a previous payment after related credits were already used

In these cases, credits may be deducted before you add more credits, resulting in a temporary negative balance.

What does a negative balance mean?

A negative credit balance:

  • Is not a penalty or a fee

  • Does not mean you were charged automatically

  • Reflects credits used for completed or adjusted work

Your order is not canceled because of a negative balance.

What happens next

If your credit balance becomes negative:

• Your current order continues to be processed

• You can add credits at any time to restore a positive balance

• You may need a positive balance to place new orders

The balance will update automatically once credits are added.

How to restore your credit balance

You can restore your balance by:

• Purchasing one-time credits

• Using credits added through an active subscription

• Waiting for credits to be returned if an order is adjusted or cannot be completed

Important to know

  • A negative credit balance is temporary

  • Credits may become negative after order adjustments or refunds

  • A refund does not reverse completed work or already used credits

  • Support cannot remove a negative balance manually

  • Your credit history shows exactly when and why the balance changed
