Why did my payment fail?

Explains why a payment may fail and what to do if your payment is declined or not completed.

Updated this week

Short answer

Payments in RetouchMe are processed through the App Store or Google Play. A payment may fail due to card issues, store restrictions, or temporary technical problems.

Common reasons why a payment may fail

A payment can fail for several reasons, even if your card is valid.

Most common causes:

  • Insufficient funds on your card

  • Card restrictions or limits set by your bank

  • Temporary issues with the App Store or Google Play

  • Incorrect billing information

  • Regional or currency restrictions

  • The payment was declined by your bank or the store

What to do if your payment failed

Try the following steps:

• Check that your card has sufficient funds

• Make sure your billing details are correct

• Try a different payment method, if available

• Restart the app and try again

• Wait a few minutes and retry — temporary issues usually resolve quickly

If the payment still fails, contact your bank or the App Store / Google Play support.

Was I charged if the payment failed?

  • If a payment failed, credits are not added

  • Temporary authorization holds may appear but usually disappear automatically

  • You are only charged if the payment is successfully completed

If you see a charge but did not receive credits, see “Why didn’t I receive credits after payment?”

Important to know

  • Payments cannot be processed manually by support

  • Payment methods and approvals are controlled by the App Store or Google Play

  • Deleting or reinstalling the app does not affect payment status

  • Retrying the payment does not create duplicate charges
