Short answer
Subscription changes work differently on iOS and Android. On iOS, upgrading and downgrading affect billing periods and credits in different ways. On Android, subscriptions are managed as separate plans.
π iOS (App Store)
πΌ Upgrade a subscription
Upgrading means switching to a higher-tier subscription plan.
What happens when you upgrade:
β’ A new subscription period starts immediately
β’ All credits from the new subscription plan are added in full
β’ Unused credits from the previous plan are not carried over
β’ Billing adjustments are handled by the App Store
β’ Future renewals follow the upgraded plan
Upgrading resets your subscription period and credit balance according to the new plan.
π½ Downgrade a subscription
Downgrading means switching to a lower-tier subscription plan.
What happens when you downgrade:
β’ Your current subscription period remains unchanged
β’ Unused credits from your current plan are carried over to the downgraded plan
β’ The new plan rules apply starting from the next renewal
β’ From the next billing period, credits are added according to the downgraded plan
Downgrading affects future billing and credits, not the current active period.
π Renew a subscription (iOS)
β’ Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing period
β’ Credits are added according to the active plan at the time of renewal
β’ No action is required unless you want to cancel
If your subscription expires, you can subscribe again in the app to start a new period.
π€ Android (Google Play)
π¦ Multiple subscriptions
On Android, Google Play does not support direct upgrades or downgrades.
How it works:
β’ Each subscription plan is managed separately
β’ You may have more than one active subscription at the same time
β’ Subscribing to a new plan does not automatically cancel an existing one
π Changing plans on Android
To switch plans on Android:
β’ Subscribe to the new plan in the RetouchMe app
β’ Cancel the old subscription separately in Google Play, if needed
Important:
β’ Each subscription has its own billing period
β’ Credits and benefits follow the rules of each individual subscription
π Renew a subscription (Android)
β’ Each subscription renews automatically unless canceled
β’ Renewals are handled separately for each active subscription
β’ Credits are added according to each planβs rules
π³ How credits are affected
β’ On iOS, upgrades start a new subscription period and refresh credits
β’ On iOS, downgrades keep the current period and carry over unused credits
β’ On Android, credits follow the rules of each active subscription
β’ Subscription credits do not roll over between billing periods
β’ One-time credits are not affected by subscription changes
β οΈ Important to know
β’ Subscription behavior differs between iOS and Android
β’ Canceling a subscription stops future renewals but does not undo used credits
β’ Credits are applied based on the active subscription rules
β’ Deleting the app does not cancel subscriptions
